Analyze your WordPress links

Last Revised: October 2, 2021

Security is not only about you protecting yourself but also about protecting others. It is for this reason that one of the elements that you should check from time to time are the outgoing links of your website. On many occasions the links stop working or are redirected to sites of, let’s say it finely, dubious quality.

That is why it is highly recommended to use some plugin that analyzes broken links.

But not only the links you post, but those that reference you. Trackbacks (websites that link to you and appear as comments) can also be spoofed simply to spam or to take your users to unsafe sites. For these cases you can deactivate them, or verify that when one occurs, you have really been linked from there.
